How God Saved Me from Me

I was in a place that I thought I wouldn’t get out of. I was working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, and driving an hour or two, depending on traffic, each way to work. One day I just couldn’t take it any more. I went into the bedroom and got on my knees and started weeping. I started from my earliest memories, forgiving anyone for anything they had done to me and asking God to forgive me for all the wrong I had done. I must have been on the ground, face down, tears streaming for a few hours. I finally got up after I got everything out. I laid down on my bed, tv on, with no sound, and started drifting to sleep. Before I could fall asleep, I heard something, so I quickly sat up and I saw a dark cloud, it was about 3 feet in length and a few feet wide. It was moving either away from me or towards me, I couldn’t tell. I could feel the anger as it cussed and complained aloud. I could hear every word it said. It disappeared so I got up, looked around my house, and I wasn’t sure what had happened. When I headed to work that morning, I didn’t want to listen to my usual music and I felt different. A few days later, a Christian man I worked with asked me what was wrong. He said, “what’s wrong with you, I haven’t heard you cuss in days, something has to be wrong?” Right then I knew that God had delivered me from me.
