Out of small things become great beginnings
The drought is here. Filth has overtaken our nation. Evil is rising and becoming the normal in The USA. New laws are being made to put us at risk. When will the cloud, mentioned in 1 Kings 18:41-46, come? When will the refreshing, from God, arrive? I've heard of revivals in West Virginia and other places. God will show his presence in a great way very soon. When evil rises, God waits to see what his Sons and Daughters will do, then at a specific time, He will come.
1 Kings 18:41-46 NLT
Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!” So Ahab went to eat and drink. But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees. Then he said to his servant, “Go and look out toward the sea.” The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said, “I didn’t see anything.” Seven times Elijah told him to go and look. Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.” Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!’” And soon the sky was black with clouds. A heavy wind brought a terrific rainstorm and ahab left quickly for Jezreel. Then the Lord gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab’s chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel.
There wasn't any dew or rain for a few years. It must have been hard, waiting for God to give some relief. Unfortunately, the people had been led to worship baal. There were hundreds of baal prophets. The kingdom wasn't looking to The One True God. Whenever people walk away from God, or ignore him, trying to make god into their image, a storm of filth, lies, deceit, sexual immortality, just like Sodom and Gomorrah will come down upon your town, city or Nation. When a storm is coming you usually don't see it for what it is. It sneaks in and then dumps all over you. Then it's time to look for a way out. God is The Only One who can provide the exit door. Elijah knew a storm was coming, but this time it would be a cleansing storm. It was time to return the people to God, and cleanse the baal prophets and baal worship from the land.
